Bull Fighting in Cheongdo

This past weekend we went to a bullfighting festival in Cheongdo. It is in the southern part of Korea near Busan. Bullfighting is very old here, over 1,000 years. It should really be called bulls fighting, because no one else fights the bulls. It is very different from Spain.

Bong-Eunsa

I went to one of the Buddhist temples in Seoul. This was my first temple here. The buildings were all really beautiful. There were alot of dragons. There were also many different temples to meditate in. This temple is the largest monk training center in Korea and focuses on zen buddhism. There were some trails around the hills, and the flowers and tree blossoms were coming out so it made for a really nice day.

The temples and lotus lanterns.

These are some of the statues on the grounds. The Buddha is huge.

Me with seom tree blossoms.

This is a photo of Mindy Teachers, Ellen Teacher, and Amy Teacher. So nice.

These doors were great. We went into this temple to meditate for a bit. It was great, I had done it in a long time.

Kring

This past weekend I went to check out a new art center in Seoul called Kring. It is a place for young Korean artists. It is one of the coolest buildings I have visited. after going to Kring, we walked over to the Coex mall, which is awful. It is very crowed and is a complete maze of stores. There is an actual paper ma to the mall. I'm afraid if I ever go byself I will get lost and never make it out. There was an Uno's pizza and that was good. We stoped and got pizza and nachos. Yum.

These are the stairs at Kring. They change colors.

This is a view from the second floor. There was a nice cafe and the best toliets in all of Korea on this level. The bathrooms were private rooms, about the size of my apartment, with TVs.

This is the exhibit on the ground floor. There is also a nice cinema.

This is the outside of the building.
